Our legal para-professionals fill a vital role as members of our legal team. They are highly skilled and trained, working with our lawyers  in each practice area to provide excellent service to our clients.

 

Leeann M. Harness, Office Administrator, Paralegal

Ms. Harness received her paralegal certification in 1984. Since that time she has worked for several attorneys, gaining experience in many areas of law.  She spent a number of years as a small business owner and IT Specialist before returning to the legal field.  She joined Mr. Hackstaff in 2003 and works primarily with the transactional team.

In addition, Ms. Harness serves as the  IT Manager for the firm.

Barbora Hurd, Paralegal

Ms. Hurd holds a law degree from Comenius University Faculty of Law in the Slovak Republic. Prior to joining Hackstaff Gessler, she worked in the Bratislava office of Salans (formerly Altheimer & Gray) assisting with international commercial transactions among European Union countries.  While in law school, Ms. Hurd also interned in the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic (Constitutional Committee), the Fourth Bratislava District Court, and the Slovak Republic Ministry of Justice Legal Aid Clinic. She is fluent in Slovak, Czech and French.

She provides assistance with domestic and international commercial transactions as well as various litigation matters.
